Dog Toys and Santa — What a Combo!
When we got home from work yesterday, there was a huge box in my bedroom from, none other than, SANTA CLAUS!! Or maybe it was the Easter Bunny — Santa, Bunny — dog toys are dog toys, no matter if they come down the chimney or out of a big egg, right?
I guess it’s actually both — my terrific brother and his incredible girlfriend bought and sent a box of toys. They are so excited I have a dog.
Anyway, we got rope toys and nylabones and this big colorful many-legged stuffed thing. This one rope toy is bigger than she is. Of course, she went for that one first. She drug it around with her for a long time — so heavy she couldn’t even lift it. It’s one of those with loops on both ends and a handy handle on one end for the human tugger. The dog end is all rope. Then the middle is thick, braided, and wound up. Very cool rope toy.
Except she’s gonna have to be supervised with it. Earlier today I found her chewing up the handle end!! And it chews up. As in, she was shredding it. I had to take it away from her cuz I didn’t want her swallowing those little pieces of rubber from the chewed up handle.
Anyway, right now she’s rolling on the floor on her back with a smaller rope toy in her mouth, chewing and gnawing and giving a little growl every now and then.
Now she just went in my dirty clothes pile and pulled out a sock. Thief.
ok, enough of the play-by-play commentary.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Santa and Easter Bunny (aka, Tull and Julia) for the terrific dog toys. Can you say spoiled??
Anna
