Separation Anxiety
Who’s got separation anxiety? ME!!!
I left Lacey at home today when I did my errands and went to work. One of my housemates asked me if I would leave her home, so I did.
O my god — I missed her so much. Having her with me is so comforting. There was a huge empty space at the office. Both dogs were at home. [The owners of the company have a dog, Hobie, that they bring. Lacey loves Hobie, but Hobie is 14 years old and isn’t so crazy about the energy level of a puppy around all the time.] The office was so quiet, I had a hard time concentrating.
Anyway, Lacey was fine at home. She had a great time. She had her typical mid-afternoon huge burst of energy. They opened the door to the back yard and she hauled ass out the door, around the back yard, in the door, around the house, out the door, around the back yard, and on and on for who knows how long. Wore herself totally out.
Guess she didn’t miss me being there too much.
And they played, with the soccer ball, with the rope, with the nylabone. All in all, she had a great day.
It helped that she was excited to see me when I got home. But that could’ve been because she was hungry!!! And I’m the one that feeds her!!! Anyway, whatever it takes to be the favorite, right?
