The Day After The Day From Hell

Lacey and I were both home all day today. I had the house lead on her all day.

Boy, was she subdued. Had a really good morning walk. She even got to eat breakfast! Which means she sat when I instructed her to sit, etc.

She went over to nose the fountain rocks one time and I told her “leave it” in a very stern tone of voice. We haven’t even really learned “leave it,” but you better believe she walked away from those rocks.

For dinner, I gave her raw hamburger and raw blended veggies (all organic, of course). We had a fun training session with some bite-size hamburger pieces and she submitted every time!!!

We even learned a new command. “Go to your place.”

We have a rug in front of our sink and she has made a habit of lying on it whenever she’s in the kitchen. Of course, it’s right in the middle of everything, so people have to step around her. That is so not ok.

So I got a different rug and put it a little bit outside the major traffic area in the kitchen. She learned that it’s hers and that “go to your place” means she needs to go lie on it.

Now she’s running around the house chasing her kong toy.

I love this dog.
