Happy Mother’s Day…from Lacey

Dear Mom,

Today is Mother’s Day, so I wanted to write you a letter telling you how happy I am that you are my mom. I couldn’t have a better, more devoted, mom. I have loved you since you first picked me up, but I’ve really realized it with you being gone this week. I can’t wait until this evening when you come home to be with me! I’ve been looking forward to it all day long!!!

I’ve been a good girl this week, really I have, despite all of the stories you are going to hear about me! I have so much to tell you…did you know that there are MANY pieces to the sprinkler system? Really, there are. I know because I’m slowly dismantling it piece by piece. Don’t worry, Alexis is keeping all the pieces for you. Did you also know that I can completely unravel that rug by the door in about two weeks? Really, in another week, I’ll have the whole thing torn up! FUN! Did you know that there is a really cute boy dog next door who I love to play with? We spent some time playing together earlier this week after my walk with Melissa. It was so fun. I was so tired afterward that my tongue hung down to my knees! Did you know that when Melissa’s here, I can get up on the bed a million times? Sure, she tells me “off” but as soon as I get off, I jump right back on. Okay, I’m only on for seconds at a time, but I’ve learned that your bed is really comfy. Did you know that I can jump almost as high as Melissa is tall? I did today when we were outside playing.

Did you also know that as fun and as funny as I am, I am also really good at providing love and comfort? I’ve completely stolen Melissa’s heart.

Well, that’s about it. I’ve got things to do…toys to chase, barking to do, etc. I can’t wait for you to come home tonight!!! I’m saving up all my energy for when you get here.

Happy Mother’s Day. I love this mom.
