Raw Bones are so YUMMY

I went shopping today at Jimbos — our local scaled-down Whole Foods equivalent and asked the butcher about raw bones. They had just gotten in a rack of ribs for another woman with a dog and she didn’t want them all. So I got Lacy (I think that’s going to be her name) a rack of raw bones, cut, with meat.

When I got home, I put them in ziplock bags and froze most of them. I gave her one (outside, on the patio of course) and I was the favorite for a long time. She smiled and wagged her tail until I took it away from her (to finish up tomorrow).

Raw bones are great for dogs — incredible nutrition, great for their teeth and gums, and gives them something interesting to do (get the meat off, the marrow out of the bone, and chew on the bone for a while).

And I got the crate — a black wire one with a fuzzy pillow. Didn’t get the house lead yet. I’ll get that tomorrow. I’ll also talk more about how I’m going about house training.

If you have a dog, it won’t matter because you’ll be awakened anyways, but if you don’t have a dog, remember it’s daylight savings.
